People with Emotions
being brutally honest
In my art, I am showing the emotional journey of living with migraines. Through expressive lines and vibrant colors, I capture the spectrum of emotions—from intense pain and frustration to moments of hope and resilience. Each drawing serves as a visual narrative, shedding light on the often underestimated challenges of migraines. My aim is not only to represent the experience but also to cultivate awareness, fostering a dialogue around this intricate struggle. These artworks serve as a powerful medium, providing a voice to those navigating the complexities of life with migraines, fostering empathy and understanding.
The Skulls
It's all in the brain
I try to explore the significance of the brain through depictions of skulls, emphasizing the central role this organ plays in our emotional experiences. Each skull becomes a canvas, portraying the intensity of pain, resilience, and the unseen battles within. Through this visual storytelling, I aim to underscore the importance of understanding and appreciating the complexities of the brain, shedding light on the often overlooked struggles faced by those enduring the impact of migraines on their emotional well-being.

My Migraine: Hugo
very personal
This migraine-inspired painting features a dog, crafted solely during an attack, capturing the intensity and raw emotion of the moment. The chaotic brushstrokes and vivid colors reflect the pain and struggle. The canine figure symbolizes resilience and companionship, perhaps suggesting a journey towards acceptance. The artwork serves as a catalyst for dialogue with the migraine, encouraging reflection and understanding over time. Therefore, my Migraine has a name: Hugo. Through the expressive use of my hands, the painting becomes a powerful manifestation of the physical and emotional experience, ultimately prompting a transformative conversation with the ailment.
Colors and Shapes
Experiments
Embarking on my painting journey, I traversed diverse styles, colors, and techniques in search of my artistic identity. The exploration led me through a kaleidoscope of creative expression until I discovered the captivating allure of Gouache, soft pastels, and carbon. This artistic trinity became my chosen medium, offering a harmonious blend of versatility and vibrancy. Gouache's opaque brilliance, soft pastels' subtle textures, and carbon's bold lines merged seamlessly to manifest my vision. Through this eclectic fusion, I found a unique voice, each stroke echoing my evolving narrative.
